Daniel Fairs, a Chicago native, left Loyola University on a whim in 1990, and
headed for Europe for what would be the beginning of a long modeling career.
For the next several years, Daniel would travel and live in Europe, working
for fashion icons like Versace, Armani, Donna Karen, Dolce & Gabbana, and
Valentino. Shooting with the world’s greatest photographers, such as Herb
Ritts, Aldo Fallai, and Ellen Von Unwerth, his work would bring him to
destinations all over the world- Miami, New York, Milan, Paris, Vienna,
Munich, Barcelona, Zurich, Geneva, even Tokyo and Osaka to name a few.
While modeling, in the mid-90’s, Daniel began experimenting with photography
for fun, photographing his model-friends for their portfolios. Given
his experience in the modeling industry, photography became a natural
progression. Over the next few years, his passion for capturing images
grew, and in 2000, he left the modeling world to begin the life of a
photographer. Partnering with a fellow photographer, Daniel moved back
to Miami, where he had spent several winters in his modeling days, to start
a production company. Their company focused on model development,
graphic design, and web development. Daniel’s passion for capturing images
soon spilled over to graphic design and digital imaging, tying in all of his
elements of creativity. Daniel spent two years developing his company
before he finally realized his home was in Chicago and that's where he
needed to be.

In January 2002, Daniel, along with two partners, started ARMAS- a full
service marketing & advertising firm. Offering everything from
photography, web & graphic design, television & radio production, to market
research and media buying, ARMAS offers Daniel new challenges and creative
opportunities.
- Daniel continues to offer
photo-sessions to models & actors, as well as web design and composite
creation. His industry knowledge and experience allows him to
consistently produce marketable images for his clients.
